Babies!!!!!

At 4 a.m. on Saturday, August 22nd my water broke. Jarad and I made our way to the hospital where I was admitted. Aunt Jenn was so excited she arrived at the hospital 20 min. after us, before I was even checked out!! <3 I was 2.5 cm at 7:00 am. Doctor checked again and by 10:00 a.m I had progressed to 3.5 cm. I had some contractions (although didn't feel much), but by 5:00 p.m. I hadn't changed from 3.5, so it was decided we should have a c-section since I was maxed out on ptocyn.

Babies were born by c-section at 5:47 pm on August 22nd. They were about 45 seconds apart (Bowen first), but within the same minute.

Bowen James Houser- 17 inches, 5 lbs 1oz
Kendall Marie Houser - 18.5 inches, 5 lbs 12 oz

Bowen was in NICU for 12 hours because he had one case of apnea, but when monitored by NICU staff had no other concerns, so he was returned to us earlier than they had anticipated. (they originally said he would be with them for 24 hours)

Both babies and mom were discharged on Wednesday, August 26th around 3:00pm.
